The birds have been very active since they returned to the high country. This bird sat for quite awhile on a branch right next to my deck so I was able to get some good photographs. The finch couple is the busiest of all the birds. If they sit still long enough from building their nest on top of my outside speaker I will try to snap a photo of them as well. ![]()

These will be for sale at my display at the Landings Art Show, Fort Myers, Florida, Februrary 4th, 2012. See you there!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal with family and friends and are now enjoying the relaxing weekend. Tennis this morning, hang Christmas lights this afternoon. I hope to get some painting in as well. Here are some of my new originals that will be going into the gallery this week. Notice the aspen theme. I can't seem to get away from it. I will be creating a new blog gallery page soon and these will be on it. ![]() Time flies when you are having fun. My competitive tennis leagues are over. I have taken hundreds of pictures since last March which means lots of fodder for painting. The garden has been cut down and lawn furniture covered and stored. The elk are bugling and the turkeys are back. The cooler weather means time at last to work in my studio and start blogging again. Below is a work in progress. I have several finished pieces being scanned at the printer that I will post later, probably in the gallery section.
Had a great time showing my art at the Landings in Fort Myers, Florida. My roadies pictured below beside the display made everything fun and easy. Thanks to my sisters, Barb and Gretchen, my brother-in-law Sam, and mom and dad. Also, special thanks to Bob and Dee Bowersox and Bev and Tom Brown for allowing me the use of their beautifully framed prints for my display.
