Three Paintings

A mixed media rendering of my favorite dahlias, Mystic Desire, 9 x 12 watercolor and pastel on watercolor paper. I love the red orange petals and the dark almost black stems and leaves. It is hard to find dark values for the garden.

Kiowa Creek Shadows. 14 1/2 x 22 watercolor and pastel on watercolor paper. This painting evokes the clear air and colors of a lovely fall day in the eastern plains of Colorado.

Gigi's Beach. 8 1/2 x 17 Watercolor. A tender painting of a brightly sunlit day at the beach. Based upon a photograph taken by my sister Gretchen.
